Warranty

Manta5 Global Warranty

This Manta5 Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty by Manta5 LP, a New Zealand limited partnership (limited partnership number 2592602), acting via its general partner Bright Spark Innovations GP Limited, a New Zealand company (company number 4749042) (“Manta5”). This Warranty applies to the products listed below. Your legal rights as a purchaser may vary by country or jurisdiction. This Warranty does not affect these rights.

 

Before using the product, please read all Manta5’s “Product Materials” including, without limitation, user manuals, safety guidelines, specifications, training videos, social media posts, and service communications from Manta5 or its authorised representatives. Manta5 product warranty registration must be completed upon purchase through the required monthly warranty reporting.

Manta5 warrants for the relevant coverage periods that the Hydrofoiler will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use in accordance with Manta5’s Product Materials.

 

What is covered

Warranty periods are from date of delivery and differ between products as detailed below. The following products are covered under warranty:

  • 2-Year Warranty on Manta5 Hydrofoiler:
  • Chassis
  • Foils (front and rear)
  • Motors
  • Gearboxes
  • Manta5 Hydrofoiler batteries (including battery): 1-year warranty or up to 250 charge cycles, whichever occurs first.

Proof of original retail purchase must be presented when making a claim under this warranty. Note that where the product is no longer owned by the original owner, the remaining warranty period (if any) is transferable to a second owner provided proof of original retail purchase is presented when making a claim.

 

What is not covered

This Warranty is void under the following circumstances:

  • Improper use of the Hydrofoiler, including excessive, or other abnormal use.
  • Crash, physical impact, collisions or fire resulting from non-manufacturing processes, or use in unsafe locations or unsafe conditions.
  • By damage or defects caused by transport, loading, unloading, dropping, out of water handling, or inappropriate storage including, without limitation, damage or defects caused by exposure to temperatures stated in the Product materials.
  • Modification of the product without Manta5 approval.
  • Improper maintenance or servicing (including any failure to comply with the Product Materials when maintaining or servicing the product), improper alteration, improper assembly and/or use of parts, accessories or software that are not compatible with the product.
  • Wear and tear. Even when maintained correctly, some parts will eventually wear out and require replacement (such as seals, oil, bearings etc.). Similarly, the paint and bike graphics may be scratched as a result of normal use. Parts that are damaged due to wear and tear are not covered under this warranty.
  • Any damage to composite parts (foils, chassis) caused by exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures for prolonged periods of time. 
  • Commercial use of any kind.
  • If the serial number has been removed or defaced.
  • Colour matching of replacement parts is not included in this Warranty.
  • This warranty does not cover any software programs, whether provided with the Hydrofoiler or installed subsequently, or any loss of the Customer’s data.
Shipping and Delivery

We offer FREE Shipping for orders over $99.00 within the continental United States. *

We offer FREE Shipping for orders over $249.00 to the US and outlying areas. *

We off FREE Shipping to Canada for orders over $899.00 *

* Large boards such as SUP's, Wingboards, eFoils, do not qualify for free shipping and are subject to a $250 shipping charge. 

The time frame for your order delivery is divided into two parts:

Processing Time: Order verification, tailoring, quality check, and packaging.

For orders that are in stock in our US-based warehouse, we strive to ship these out the same day as they are ordered if the order is placed before 12:00 pm EST. If the order is placed after 12:00 pm EST, we will do our best to have it out the next business day. There are times when this can be delayed depending on circumstances that may delay the order buy one or two business days. On rare cases this can take up to two weeks. 

Orders that are placed for items that are not in stock in our US warehouse but are available from one of our US distributors, the order will typically shipped out in 2-3 business days. Again, there are times when this ideal scenario may not be applicable. i.e. backored or out of stock items. 

Orders that are placed for items that are not in stock in the US are dispatched to our overseas manufacturers within 48 hours after the order is placed and the payment is received. The manufacturer and their countries post process the orders, which can an additional 2-10 business days.

Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for the item to be shipped from our warehouse(s) to the destination.

Shipping within the US, delivery can take between 1-5 business days

Outside of the US, delivery can take between 7-35 business days. Product shipping from the US is shipped Priority Mail via USPS.

Product shipping from overseas by a variety of shipping companies. After processing and leaving the warehouse, items usually take between 5 - 14 business days to arrive at their destination but can take longer from time to time.

Please allow up to 20 business days for delivery of overseas item to a US address, and up to 35 business days for delivery to a non-US address. Note that for some countries, shipping may take longer than estimated.

Return Policy

Free Returns:

We do offer free returns for most product sold in store and that fall within our return policy window (see below).

Certain products, such as large boards, surfboards, efoils, sup's, Onewheels, DO NOT qualify for free returns. If they buyer decides to return one of the mentioned products above, they will be responsible for the shipping from our warehouse to their location and the shipping from their location back to our warehouse. 

An example of a free return is as follows. The customer purchases a product for $100 and receives free shipping. The shipping costs $20 from our warehouse to the customer and we cover that shipping. The buyer decides to return their item. If the item qualifies, we will send a prepaid return label to the customer and the customer can send back their order free of charge. 

An example of a product that does not qualify for a free return is as follows. The customer purchases a large board for $1000. The shipping costs $100 from our warehouse to the customer and we cover the shipping. The customer decides to return their item. Because the product does not qualify for a free return, the buyer must pay the return shipping for the product back to Session Sports. When the product is received, we will provide a refund, minus the shipping cost. In this example, the buyer would receive a $900 refund. The original $1000 minus the $100 in shipping. 


New Items:

Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be new, unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and include the original tags.

In some rare cases we may accept a return past the 30 days but those returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. 

Used Items:

Our return policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and include the original tags.

 

Non-returnable item(s):

  • Gift cards
  • New Equipment That Was Used
  • Downloadable Products

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

Any item not in its original condition is damaged, or missing parts for reasons, not due to our error.


Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

 


Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

A 25% restocking fee may be applied to any refund dependent on the situation and will be applied to any return that is past the 30 day return window.


Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.


Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@sessionsports.com and send your item to: 62 Brigade St. Charleston, South Carolina US 29403.



Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

If your product qualifies for the free returns, please contact us and we will send you a prepaid return shipping label.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item if it is for one of the products listed above. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
